KOTA KINABALU, May 3, 2018: A video clip showing RM50 notes being distributed to a group of people wearing dark blue tee shirts with the Barisan Nasional logo has gone viral and is raising eyebrows among voters here.

Among those who received the 21-second video clip was Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) election director of operations Melanie Chia who said the party would be lodging a police report about it.

KOTA KINABALU, May 3, 2018: Sabah Progressive Party president Datuk Yong Teck Lee along with six other Gabungan Sabah leaders have filed an appeal against the High Court’s decision to strike out  their legal action against the Prime Minister and the Election Commission.

The group, represented by their counsel Yong Jit Jee, filed their appeal at the High Court Registry at 11am on Thursday.

KOTA KINABALU, May 2, 2018: Hackers are attacking the Google account of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) as campaigning for the 14th General Election entered its fourth day.

SAPP election director of operations Melanie Chia said the party’s Google account administrator noticed attempted illegal logins from 8.15am on Tuesday.

“We began tracing the origins of these attacks and a bulk of them were from Kuala Lumpur,” she said on Tuesday, attaching a screenshot of the proof of hacking attempt from KL.

KOTA KINABALU, May 2, 2018: Sabah Progressive Party’s (SAPP) Luyang candidate Gee Tien Siong has lodged a police report over lies that the party’s candidates had been paid by the Barisan Nasional.

Gee lodged the report at the Karamunsing police station at 5.38pm on Monday just hours after the conversation in his school’s alumni WhatsApp group.

“I was shocked when a former schoolmate asked me if I had received money from (BN chairman) Najib (Razak),” he said after lodging the report.
